About Shinsei

A New Beginning, Built the Right Way

“Shinsei represents renewal, growth, and a new beginning.”

Our mission is to provide high-quality club volleyball without the excessive cost — developing athletes technically, physically, mentally, and competitively.

Every rep, every rotation, every rep at the gym is built around one idea: talent gets you noticed, but discipline is what makes you dangerous. That's the standard we hold at Shinsei.

01

Quality Training

Disciplined, structured coaching focused on real skill development, not just reps.

02

Performance Workouts

Weekly volleyball-specific strength & conditioning to build faster, stronger athletes.

03

Volleyball IQ

Mental development and game awareness so players compete under pressure.

04

Regional & Travel Play

Competitive opportunities across the Pacific Northwest and select national events.

05

Affordable Dues

Club volleyball doesn't have to be expensive — quality competition at a reasonable cost.

06

Competitive Culture

A hard-nosed, team-first environment built to make athletes and teammates better.

Coach Pat, Founder and Club Director
Founder & Club Director

Coach Pat

Coach Pat founded Shinsei Volleyball Club with a simple vision: create a competitive volleyball program where athletes receive quality coaching, meaningful development, and opportunities to compete — without club volleyball becoming financially out of reach for families.

With 10+ years of coaching experience, Coach Pat has worked with athletes ranging from 14U through 18U across girls and boys volleyball, in club, high school, collegiate, and nationally competitive environments — including time with Whidbey Fury, Skagit Valley College, PacWest Academy/Aces, and Cowlitz Volleyball Academy, and currently at Castle Rock High School, along with experience coaching boys teams that competed at the national level.

The program draws inspiration from the discipline and technical precision of Japanese volleyball and the energy, creativity, and competitiveness of Brazilian volleyball — a philosophy where development comes before status, and becoming a great player takes more than just playing tournaments.

Payton, Assistant Coach
Assistant Coach

Payton

Payton spent six years playing volleyball as a setter, developing the court vision, communication, and attention to detail that now shape her coaching. Outside the gym, she works as a hair stylist — a craft built on creativity, precision, and connecting with people, skills that carry directly onto the court.

Payton is passionate about making a genuine impact on every athlete she coaches, and about building a program where players compete hard while enjoying the process. She's looking forward to her first season with Shinsei.

More Than a Club

"It's about creating a volleyball culture in Southwest Washington where athletes can develop from younger ages through high school, receive quality training, compete at increasingly higher levels, and become better prepared for whatever comes next."

Develop. Compete. Evolve. — This is Shinsei.

Our Philosophy

What Shinsei Stands For

Six principles guide everything we do on and off the court.

01
Discipline

Talent only takes you so far.

We build habits and structure that carry athletes past raw ability.

02
Development

We build players — not just teams.

Every athlete is developed individually, not just plugged into a system.

03
Accountability

Effort, attitude & communication matter.

What you can control is what we hold you to, every single day.

04
Defense

The hardest team to score against.

We want to become one of the hardest teams in the gym to score against.

05
Competition

Learn to compete under pressure.

Players learn to compete under pressure — in practice and in big moments.

06
Team

Nobody is bigger than the program.

Shinsei is built on teammates who put the program before themselves.
